Degree programs create matrices which are forward-looking snapshots of their ongoing efforts to assess their expected learning outcomes (ELOs) via their required courses. These matrices serve as both a roadmap for which ELOs will be assessed from year to year, as well as a cross-check showing how required courses implement all of a program’s learning outcomes, including the University Core Competencies (at the undergraduate level).
